The Alberta government has designated a portion of Mount Lady MacDonald as an All-Season Resort Area, opening a formal regulatory pathway for the proposed Silvertip Gondola.

It’s an important milestone, but not a green light. The designation gives us the ability to formally submit our gondola proposal for provincial review, a process that still includes a Master Development Plan, environmental assessments and public engagement before any construction could begin.

“The vision for Silvertip is to create a lasting mountain experience that families and visitors can enjoy while respecting the wildlife corridors and natural character that define this community for generations to come,” said Guy Turcotte, CEO of Stone Creek Resorts.
